Ministry of Evangelization
The Ministry of Evangelization is headed by an Evangelist. This ministry is also headed by the pastor of the Church who will ensure the training of evangelists before launching them into the ministry of public evangelization. This evangelist must have:
- Of an adequate theological and biblical formation.
- A college degree or certificate from a seminary or Bible or theological institute approved by the State of New Jersey or recommended by the incumbent pastor.
- A certificate of evangelist following an ordination ceremony administered by the titular pastor of the Church.
- Of the Holy Spirit, of wisdom, and of know-how.
The Evangelist must be commissioned to be at the service of the congregation like all the other ministries of the Church. The evangelist must be commissioned by the congregation before any sending into the field of evangelism. He must also work in his ministry under the supervision of the titular pastor of the Church.
The functions of the ministry of the evangelist consist in visiting hospitals, lodging houses, public squares, supermarkets, prisons, streets, and everywhere for the preaching of the Gospel of Jesus Christ (Matthew 28:18-19). Like all ministers and leaders of the Church, the evangelist must prepare and present his work report during the meetings convened by the pastor of the Church.
