Ministry of the Dominical School
The Sunday School is the organ through which believers learn the knowledge of the Word of God. The Sunday School superintendent/assistant superintendent is responsible for this ministry. He or she works with the leaders to prepare Sunday lessons to train and educate believers in the Church.
The Sunday School superintendent/assistant superintendent is responsible for:
- prepare leaders in the study and knowledge of the Word of God by providing workshops on a regular and repeated basis.
- to help children, youth, and adults cultivate love for the Word of God through the study and learning of Bible verses.
- see to it that sound doctrine is taught in Sunday School.
- coordinate all educational and recreational activities of the Church.
- encourage youth and adults to become teachers in the Sunday School ministry.
To be superintendent/assistant superintendent of the Sunday School, one must:
- to be married of only one woman or woman of only one husband.
- lead an exemplary life at home and at church.
- to be filled with the Holy Spirit and moderate in speech.
- renounce all backbiting and devote oneself to the study of the Word of God.
- contribute spiritually, numerically, and economically to the growth of the Church.
- have great Christian maturity and demonstrate great self-control.
- participate in all Church services and show a sustained interest in Church affairs.
- have advanced and in-depth biblical knowledge.
- to be able to teach.
- enjoy a good testimony in family, church, and elsewhere
